**Hours**: Part-time, up to 15 hours per week, in student's home
**Role Description**:
We are seeking a specialist tutor to provide in-person, one-on-one support for a young student with a language disorder and communication needs. The role will focus on developing the student's communication abilities using tools such as PECS and AAC devices. The student benefits most from a visual and hands-on approach, and the tutor will be responsible for creating engaging and adaptive learning materials that cater to these needs. The role requires up to 15 hours of support per week, conducted at the student's home, with a strong emphasis on creating a positive and structured learning environment to help the student make meaningful progress.
**About Us**:
Love2Learn Education is a specialist education service that supports students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). - Monitor student progress and provide regular updates to families and other stakeholders.
- Foster a positive, encouraging, and safe learning environment, avoiding approaches that may overwhelm students, such as giving too many instructions at once or working in loud environments.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience working with SEND students, specifically those with communication needs.
- Strong experience and confidence in using PECS and/or AAC devices.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs, focusing on visual and hands-on learning.
- A calm, patient approach and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Relevant qualifications in education or special needs support (preferred).
**Benefits**:
- Flexible working hours to suit your schedule.
- Competitive hourly rate of £40-£48 per hour.
- The opportunity to make a real difference in students' educational journeys.
- Support from our experienced team, including resources and training where needed.
