**Job description: Bar Person**To achieve excellent levels of customer satisfaction and for the bar to gain a good reputation for quality service and drinks in the area.**Summary of Duties**:
**Customer service**:

- Implement the Challenge 25 scheme.
- Work as part of the team to develop and plan the bar services.
- Respond to individual customer demands and preferences.
- Adhere to the Health and Safety and Food Hygiene requirements.
- Ensure all areas of the bar are kept clean and tidy.
- Undertake stock rotation.
- Liaise with Bar Manager with regard to stock levels.
**Administration**:

- Complete paperwork as required by the Food Standards Agency and the business..
**Finance**:

- Responsible for ensuring all drinks purchases are recorded and paid for using EPOS system.
In addition the job holder is required to perform other duties assigned by the supervisor/manager from time to time.

**Qualification / experience**:

- Proven ability to work with bar products
- Formal bar training and experience (not essential)

We have refurbished the sports bar using up-cycled sports equipment. Refurbished a new casual dining bistro, with approximately 100 covers. Refurbished and re-launch the 18 en suite rooms and refurbish the function room.
We are looking to build a team of staff who are willing to embrace our ethos, enthusiasm and drive to create a fantastic experience for all of our customers.
We will be focusing on creating a supportive environment for staff to enable everyone who works for us to develop their knowledge and skills and be able to perform to the best of their ability.

As a hospitality business in a tourist area we expect staff to be available for work during the peak periods and to accept the need to work unsociable hours, however, we aim to recruit sufficient staff to ensure that everyone employed is able to maintain a good work life balance.
We will be making use of IT systems, this will include a full EPOS system and hand held devices.
**Sports Bar**:
The hours that the sports bar operate from either 1630 or noon to 2200 or 2330, this will vary throughout the week/year and according to customer demand and sporting and other events.
We show sky sports and actively supporting the local pool and darts team, and getting involved with other sporting events in the area.
We will be encouraging local customers to regularly support the business, as well as tourists and visitors to the area. We aim for everyone to have an enjoyable, fun and safe experience in the sports bar.

**Salary**: £9.00-£10.00 per hour
