**JOB SUMMARY**
Homemore is a specialist provider of emergency accommodation to those with no fixed address. We are different from other emergency accommodation providers because we work with our residents to provide them with appropriate support and guidance to improve their general well-being and access to services, with our ultimate aim being to provide them with the tools they need to live independently.
This will be a highly varied role and will require someone who is confident, assertive, good at resolving conflicts and truly capable of working independently and communicatively with a team.
**KEY RELATIONSHIPS**
You will work closely with the Homemore Resident Supervisors, the Head of Safety and Safety Officers.
On top of this you will come to know residents very well as you will see and interact with them every evening. You are also highly likely to work with emergency services and local authorities. Examples of engagement you may have with people within and outside the organisation include:
- Being the eyes and ears for the Homemore Safety Officers. You will escalate any safety concerns to them whilst on shift;
- Providing ad hoc updates on resident welfare to the Welfare Lead and Resident Supervisors;
- Preparing and conducting handovers so that day staff are fully informed on residents’ whereabouts and wellbeing at the beginning of shift;
- Liaising with local authorities and emergency services including providing access to the building for them;
**KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS**
Experience in:
- working with vulnerable/displaced people;
- working with people with complex and multi-faceted needs;
- keeping good administration records and using a computer daily;
- any security-based role;
- handling and de-escalating highly pressured situations;
- working collaboratively and independently;
- recording, reviewing and analysing information and data;
- managing people;
- enforcing a strict set of guidelines and boundaries.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Maintaining updated and accurate resident information and data;
- Performing site patrols, welfare checks and building security checks;
- Receiving calls/visitors from emergency services and local authorities;
- Reviewing, formatting and standardising welfare report entries of all staff;
- Enforcing Homemore house rules;
- Keeping a detailed and accurate record of occurrences whilst on shift;
- Diffusing altercations between residents;
- Delivering evening meals to residents and organising the distribution of meals between Homemore buildings;
- Escalating situations to Safety personnel and Homemore management;
- Highlighting safeguarding concerns regarding residents;
- Maintaining accurate and detailed documentation around resident welfare;
- General Administration (day-to-day and project based).

**Salary**: £11.00-£14.00 per hour
