**Position **STEM Events and Programmes Co-Ordinator

**Reports To **STEM Team Leader

**PURPOSE**

The post holder will support events and activity delivered through the various STEM related contracts with reference to the effective delivery, communication and understanding of the NESTEM Hub offer for regional schools, ambassadors, businesses, stakeholders and partners. This post raises the profile of STEM Events and Projects and will support the NE STEM Hub, STEM Enrichment Programmes, STEMFEST, Cyber First and any additional/alternative programmes or events and be responsible for the effective administration of the Resources / Kit Club local scheme

**DESCRIPTION**

**Industry /Ambassador recruitment, training and support**
- Work with the STEM Partner and Stakeholder Executive in the monitoring, recruitment, co-ordination and management of the STEM Ambassador volunteers. All STEM activities to feed into Hub KPIs
- Production of STEM Ambassador newsletters
- Support the delivery of training providing ambassadors / mentors with continuous professional development
- Work with the STEM Hub Network Exec in the delivery of DBS processes for the ambassador network.
- Support elimination of inactive ambassadors
- Support the Nuffield Research Placement programme in engagement and support of placement providers and efficient placement roll out

**Developing relationship with schools**
- Work with the Education Relationship Manager to establish contacts with targeted schools, colleges etc to engage in school based STEM activities
- Responsibility for filling unfilled activity requests from schools on Hub platform
- Marketing STEM activity to ensure continuous school buy in
- Provide admin support to the Enthuse Adviser for School engagement and effective programme roll out
- Support the Cyber First programme lead in effective school engagement and programme role out

**STEM event management**
- To support the team in the event management, development and roll out of STEMFEST, the NE STEM

Awards and other events to bring ambassadors, partners and teachers together

**Kit Club / STEM resource programme**
- Effective monitoring, coordination and distribution of the STEM resource/ Kit club loan scheme
- Marketing and promotion of resources
- Monitoring of Resources Inbox and liaison with schools - pick up and drop offs etc
- Ongoing monitoring of resource boxes content, replenishment and development of Kit offering

**General**
- To consider and highlight business development opportunities.
- To support cross-company activity for the benefit of all RTC North delivery.

**Education**

**Skills/Training Good understanding of the STEM ** Experience of working with business and industry sectors, volunteers drivers and skills
- Ability to communicate with, **Understanding of STEM influence and relate well to people curriculum at all levels both internally and externally.**:

- Good communication skills (oral and written), team working skills, organisational skills and the ability to work independently and be able to adapt to new circumstances.
- Experience of developing and coordinating stakeholder networks, partnerships and/or multi-agency projects

**Experience Evidence of working with Working with Schools or businesses on industry partners and / or schools STEM specific activity**
- Experience of event and/or project management
- Data collection, activity evaluation and measuring success
- Evidence of effective programme roll out, monitoring and development

**Other **A full driving license and willingness to travel and work outside normal business hours
