**JOB TITLE: Finance Assistant**
**DEPARTMENT: Business Support**
**REPORTING TO: Operations and Finance Manager**
**LOCATION: Office based (hybrid and flexible start/finish times)**
**WORKING HOURS: 20-25 hours per week, pattern to be agreed.**
**SALARY: £COMPETITIVE**
**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
As Finance Assistant you will have a variety of tasks to complete, supporting the Hope Capital team and third parties.
**Day to day, you will**:
Ensure financial processes are effectively administrated;
- Reconciliation of payments, invoices, income and receipts and entering data into accounting software.
- Creating and performing supplier payment runs
- Monitor, reconcile and reporting on employee expenses.
- Reconciling accounting data to ensure accuracy.
- Reconciling of stakeholder payments and statements.
- Preparation and submission of compliance requirements.
- Using accounting software.
- Updating and reconciling financial ledgers.
- Assisting the Finance Director with preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts for the company.
- Verifying company expenses, bank deposits and bank payments.
- Verifying the accuracy of business accounts and alerting the Heads of Department.
- Complying with financial laws and regulations alongside in-house policies.
- Reconciliation of 3rd party payments into a self-billing system
- Creating and maintaining spreadsheets and reports for finance and the wider business usage
- Gather data from all departments in line with reporting requirements
**Building relationships across the Hope Capital family and with our stakeholders by**:
- Professionally handling calls on payment requests and other financial queries managing our stakeholders expectations and constantly building our reputation and brand image.
- Liaising with internal departments to effectively support the Hope Capital lending process.
**WHAT YOU’LL NEED**:
- Strong administration experience.
- Proficient in excel and able to grasp new systems with ease.
- Analytical approach and attention to detail.
- Strong Multi-tasking and organisational skills to manage different financial duties, including the ability to prioritise tasks in order to meet tight deadlines.
- Communication skills, including the ability to explain financial matters in accessible terms to different level of stakeholders.
- Strong problem solving ability and skills.
- Flexibility and open-mindedness.
