**Travel Support Officer - Merseyside Local Authority**

The Travel Support Team administers and delivers the SEND element of the Home to School Travel Support Policy on behalf of the Council.

This includes assessment, offer, and delivery of the offer, review and advice on the policy.

As part of this role the team is responsible for a framework with bus and taxi operators and also provides transport support for other Council Services including Adult Social Care providing transport to day centres, buses for trips to swimming baths, support for transporting looked after children and buses for services such as planning when undertaking site visits.

Agency Contract**:3-6 month initial contract - likely to be extended**

Rate of pay**:£16+ per hour - depending on experience.**

Location: Office Based**:Bootle, L20**

Full time role**:36 hours per week.**

**Role Purpose**:

- We are looking for a Travel Support Officer with experience in finance and data management to join our team.
- You will undertake financial responsibilities as required and allocated by the Travel Support Team Manager and Senior Commissioning Officer and work closely with internal and external key partners.
- You will process and reconcile all payments relating to Travel Support including Personal Travel Budgets ensuring that the correct payments are made in a timely manner.
- You will be the first point of contact for all Travel Support payment queries from contractors and parent/carers.
- You will assist in the monitoring, recording and evaluation of service delivery, providing critical analysis of demand, need, gaps, trends and performance outcomes.
