- Develop strong relationships with the supplier base, the internal customer base and the internal supply chain.
- Ability to learn, lead & co-ordinate the supplier selection process in order to ensure the supply solution provides quality, reliability, strategic fit & value for money
- Effectively manage key supplier sub contracts throughout the contract life cycle including monitoring of performance, risk, change, compliance with requirements & cost
- Support the business Procurement Team by contributing to the development of processes, practices and systems which enhance their capability to deliver a high performing supply chain and effectively manage supplier performance.
- Analysis of data to present and challenge existing processes and offer innovative alternatives that benefit the wider business.
- Seeking & harnessing innovative solutions from existing and future supply chain partners in order to meet the business needs which includes monitoring key players, newcomers, economic evolution & market trends.
- Obtain a good understanding of the use of SAP Systems & key procurement tools across the Procurement life cycle, including planning, sourcing, cost analysis, negotiation and the creation of all types of purchase orders
- Demonstrate over time, an awareness of our core business management approach and procurement process including the ability to produce Procurement Plans and identify areas of risks and opportunities and be an effective member of process improvement projects.
- Ability to develop agreements, terms & conditions and provide evidence to ensure compliance with both internal and customer governance.
- Develop networks across the UK sites through the graduate programme and able to arrive motivated and prepared for short modules which align personal development against the core strategies within Leonardo.
