**About You**:
- Whilst care experience will be beneficial, it is not essential in this role as training will be provided. What is essential, is a commitment and a passion for patient care, a high level of initiative, ability to work safely alone and within a small team and a positive attitude.
- You will be an intuitive and empathetic person, committed to ensuring that every person we see at St John is cared for to the highest of standards.
- You will have a minimum of 2 years driving experience and must hold a valid UK Licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent (Grade C / 4) including Maths & English
- Ability to work safely and confidently on your own and in a range of situations
**About The Role**:
- Respond to and assess service users following a dispatch to people after a fall in their own home acting with empathy and compassion and delivering clinical support for minor injuries Coordinate appropriate treatment and care to service users within the values and behaviours of St John Ambulance in accordance with policies and procedures
- Accurately complete all documentation recording all relevant information at the scene
- Provide treatment and care up to the contractually agreed clinical scope
- Drive the service vehicle in accordance with SJA driving policy. This role does not include urgent response or blue light driving, carrying out vehicle and equipment checks at the start of and during each shift to ensure the readiness of the vehicle, equipment and consumables
