**About The Service**
Cardiff Council delivers over 700 different services to our citizens, visitors, and businesses across the City. Our Learning Disability Complex Needs Day Service is looking to employ a **Corporate Apprentice(Level 2)** based at Cardiff Day Service, Pengam Road, Tremorfa, Cardiff CF24 2RR.to contribute to our Service helping us to deliver support to adults with a learning disability who have complex support needs. People are supported by the service to access a wide range of valued activities and opportunities within the local community to meet their identified outcomes.

The successful applicant will work as part of a highly skilled support team to develop skills in supporting service users in a person centred way to enable them to achieve their outcomes outlined in the Day Service Plan.

**About the job**
As a Corporate Apprentice undertaking a Health & Social Care (Adults) Foundation Apprenticeship Level 2, we will help and encourage you to develop skills that will support you with your future career. You will be encouraged to take on a wide range of opportunities including the support of service users in a wide range of activities and opportunities much of which will be undertaken within community settings, liaising with service users families and with other services, keeping records, administrative tasks, contributing to planning services, participating in staff meetings and staff development programmes.

Full training will be provided and our Team will help and encourage you to develop in the role and you will be encouraged to take on a variety of duties. You will receive supervision and on the job training and will have a named mentor to support you to deliver an efficient and effective service in a positive, customer-focused manner.

The Corporate Apprentice & Trainee Scheme also provides opportunities to enhance your transferrable skills to help support your career progression.

Many of our teams have moved to online and homeworking and you will be encouraged to develop the skills to support this. Where homeworking is required, you will be given the necessary equipment however, you will need to arrange your own internet connectivity (some support may be available to help with this).

The Service operates between 8.00 and 4.30 Monday to Friday.

This post is temporary for 18 months if worked full time, or longer if worked part time. Most roles are based on a 37 hour week although many roles can be worked on a part time basis and at least 16 hours per week for apprentice roles.
