**The Role**

We’re looking for a talented Video and Digital Media Producer to join our team to work directly with our Marketing Team with content production for our YouTube channel and podcast.

The role is highly varied and would involve delivery of self-directed and team-based work to further our core goals of developing entrepreneurship in scientists, as well as showcasing the scientific start-up community. We are looking for someone passionate and confident building a compelling narrative appropriate for YouTube and driven to bring your vision to life.

This is an exciting and stretching role which requires excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), a flexible and adaptable approach, creativity, and the ability to effectively voice complex ideas. The post-holder would be working closely with start-ups, industry, academics and researchers, will grow with the business and help direct and deliver creative communication content.

**Your key duties will be to**:

- Support and lead creating project briefs, scripting, outlining footage and shot lists etc.
- Coordinate interviews and site visits as needed for shoots
- Develop accompanying promotional strategy for content
- Write voice-overs and manage post-production of video including re-order and tweak content to ensure continuity of the footage.
- Opportunity to shoot videos and photography onsite and on location.

**Essential Skills**
- A high standard of written and oral communication in English
- Excellent written communication skills
- Proficient in storyboarding, writing and producing content for the web
- Familiarity with Adobe Premier and/or Final Cut pro and After Effects
- Knowledge of, or interest in, science, start-ups and/or entrepreneurship
- A positive and collaborative approach to teamwork
- Sound organisation, administration and planning skills, including a demonstrated ability to manage complex tasks, challenging projects and competing deadlines concurrently
- Excellent interpersonal skills for engaging with external and internal business stakeholders, potential mentors and industry partners
- Ability to think creatively and strategically and to plan ahead

**Desirable Skills**
- Scientific background (B.Sc., M.Sc., or Ph.D)
- Experience of marketing material production
- Experience in interacting with an interdisciplinary community
