**Main duties & responsibilities**:

- Placing and maintaining purchase orders on the system, providing an efficient purchasing resource for all departments and Companies within the group.IT spreadsheet work and information supply using statistics.
- Telephone work involving liaising with suppliers and internal departments.
- Controlling designated areas of raw material stock levels.
- Reviewing and advising on re-order levels.
- Advising changes in raw material costings on the system.
- Checking supplier listing & approvals are up to date.
- Maintaining records correctly for ISO compliance as appropriate.
- Liaise with warehouses regarding delivery dates and times, presentation of goods, paperwork & process checking.
- Using daily MRP report & react to issues arising.
- Provide costs & samples to departments on request.
- Attend stock counts when requested.
- Liaison with other departments regarding stock provision and production runs, including tooling & consumables.
- Ensuring purchase requisitions are properly signed & processed.
- Liaise with accounts to provide information & assistance on request.
- Recognise & react to seasonal variations in demand, supply chain holidays, distances & lead times in designated areas.
- Advising delivery times to sales department on special parts in designated areas.
- Deal in a professional & discreet manner to suppliers, promoting Dextra at all times.
- Follow all Quality Control guidelines set by the Company.
- Follow the requirements of the Company’s ISO Procedure.
- Follow the Company’s Health and Safety Policy, work instructions & safe systems of work.

**Post Requirements**:

- Good general standard of education.
- IT knowledge preferable, but not essential.
- Excellent communicator
- Confident telephone manner
- Purchasing knowledge & experience
- Dextra product knowledge an advantage but not essential
