**Responsibilities for Night Porter**

Frequently inspect all public areas for cleanliness, whilst ensuring the staff adhere to the cleaning schedules as outlined in night procedures to all areas.

To check all function and events ensuring that they finish as planned and vacate rooms or building in an orderly manner.

To keep a high presence in the reception area and public areas.

To be the support the night manager as part of the emergency team, handle emergency situations in the case of fire, Health & Safety, bomb alerts, and adverse weather, following Health & Safety procedures.

To conduct walk rounds of the building during shift, logging any reported faults to the relevant department for correction or the online Maintenance system for Maintenance faults.

To support night manager in receiving, checking and reconciling all end of day food and beverage shift banking with that of Opera and micros and ensure all monies is safely secured in the appropriate safe.

Ensure all transactions posted are correct and revenue is transferred to the correct departments.

Support night manager with hotel banking, ensuring all procedures and documentation are correctly compiled and filed in accordance with Company procedures.

To ensure the daily revenue analysis is completed on a daily basis.

**Requirements for Night Porter**
- Friendly, courteous and helpful, with excellent communication skills
- Flexible, and able to work shifts
- Motivated to go the extra mile for guests and colleagues
- Previous experience in a Front of House department essential, preferably in a large 4* establishment
- Able to work on own initiative, whilst able to follow instructions
- Aptitude for computers, although further training will be given
