Reporting to our Project Manager for Birmingham, you’ll be working alongside project and operational teams, National Trust and external consultants, partners, and external groups to help take forward the Trust’s strategy in Birmingham.

You'll be based at the Birmingham Back to Backs but will be expected to work across all properties in the Birmingham and Black Country portfolio. You'll be expected to attend projects when needed and some meetings face to face, however there will be an opportunityto explore and agree a hybrid working arrangement, which strikes the right balance for you and the Trust.

What you'll be doing Working at the heart of several projects, including at the Roundhouse and Clent Hills, you’ll coordinate and support some of our multidisciplinary and multi-organisational teams with the running of project/s. You’ll organise and administer meetings and minutes,keep on top of all project activity, and research and present information, offering an efficient and effective business support service.Working within the appropriate business/project frameworks you’ll provide a clear audit trail for decisions and activitiesundertaken within the project, regularly reporting on the progress of the project against budgets, programme of work and funding.

Supporting project communications, you’ll be a key part of the relationships with stakeholders and other members of the project teams keeping everyone up to date and highlighting any risks or issues. By being proactive in gathering information, you willensure coherent communications are shared so everyone understands the progress of the project.

Who we're looking for With experience of working on fast paced projects (or similar environment) you’ll know how to support a project and stakeholder team to deliver effectively. You’ll need to have:

- Great people skills that cultivate good working relationships and help to rally people around a vision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good research and reporting skills
- Excellent organisational and planning skills, and proactive in delivering outcomes
- Knowledge of budgets, finance, and co-ordination of projects
- Good influencing and presentation skills
- The ability to work well both in a team and on your own initiative
- A genuine interest and knowledge of the work of the Trust and Birmingham’s heritage
- Good IT skills (Microsoft Office)
