As a FinOps and Service Management Lead at Santander, you will play a crucial role in shaping and leading the Cloud Centre of Excellence (CCoE) FinOps function.

Your primary focus will be to deliver cost models and reporting that align with the strategic goals of our cloud initiatives, driving cost optimization and ensuring efficient execution of FinOps governance and methodologies.

Additionally, you will oversee the service management aspects, ensuring that cloud services meet the needs of the business and are delivered with high quality and efficiency giving you exposure to collaborate with other areas of Santander.

**The difference you’ll make**:

- Leading the FinOps function within the CCoE, ensuring streamlined, cost-neutral financial operations with automated processes and consumer self-service
- Driving the consistent execution of FinOps governance and provide clear, actionable reports to enhance financial efficiency and transparency
- Identifying and reporting cost optimization opportunities across Santander UK, helping to reduce expenses and maximise the value of cloud investments
- Collaborating with the Cloud Product Owner to deliver new services, manage development and upgrade requests, and maintain high quality standards and manage SLAs
- Developing and maintaining strategies for cloud service management and monitoring service performance

**What you’ll bring**:
These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role:

- AWS certification or equivalent thereof(e.g., AWS Architect)
- Experience with cloud dashboards, reservation management, and FinOps tooling
- Understanding of ITIL and service management principles

**It would also be nice for you to have**:

- Experience with cross-charging, purchase orders, and invoices
- Knowledge of multi-cloud costing models and forecasting
- Experience with major public cloud providers and cost management
- Understanding of IT and cloud computing transformations
- Experience managing SLAs in a cloud environment

**What else you need to know**:
This role is based in Milton Keynes.

To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).

**Application process**
- 1st Stage - Technical Interview - this will a 30min technical interview with one of the team

2nd Stage - A one-hour formal interview where we will ask both technical and competency-based questions. This can be done virtually or face to face depending on your situation.

- Eligible for a discretionary performance-related annual bonus.
