**About the role**

We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join the Essex Network Maintenance Team as a Network Services Health & Safety Supervisor. You will be the Health & Safety Lead for Water Networks (South) responsible for driving and continuously improving our H&S culture, motivating and coaching the wider team.

Although there’s no direct line management of employees, you will be working closely with our Area Managers playing a key role in providing expert technical support, making decisions on how we repair and maintain our regional network and ensuring the most efficient and cost effective methods are used.

You will carry out technical competence assessments of direct labour and contractors giving feedback and support in identifying areas for improvement and development, also carrying out regional audits and quality control checks.

**About you**

You’ll have proven pragmatic problem-solving abilities in a relevant technical area and be a technical expert in network operations or active leakage detection methods.

As you will be dealing with both internal and external stakeholders we’re looking for you to have excellent communications skills both verbal and written.
