We are currently seeking a friendly and energetic individual to join our team as a Cafe assistant and Porter. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing and serving food and beverages, and assisting with the day-to-day operations of both the café and kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting menu items.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, using our point-of-sale system.
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to our recipes and quality standards.
- Prepare and serve food items such as sandwiches, pastries, and salads, ensuring freshness and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café, including but not limited to, cleaning tables, counters, and equipment, as well as restocking supplies.
- Handle cash and card transactions, ensuring accuracy in processing payments and providing change.
- Assist with receiving and stocking inventory, including unpacking deliveries and displaying products on shelves.
- Answer customer inquiries and provide information about menu items, products, and promotions.
- Uphold food safety and hygiene standards at all times, following proper procedures for handling and storing food.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient operation during peak hours.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred.
- Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and food handling procedures is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, outgoing personality.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed.
