Project Electrical Engineer required for one of the world’s largest integrated recycling and packaging manufacturers at their modern paper recycling site near Maidstone, Kent. Permant role. Immediate start option. Excellent development potential

This site has undergone a transformation since 2015 following a £120M investment.

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Electrical Engineer will be involved across all stages of project delivery including business need identification, project justification, execution through to commissioning and final site acceptance testing andhandover. You will ensure that the highest standards are realised and delivery is on time and within specification and budget.

The Project Electrical Engineer will be required to assist with and deliver duties and tasks including:

- Implementation of widely varying paper industry projects ranging from 110V to 3.5KV electrical systems to DCS/PLC process control upgrades. Capable of fault finding and tuning Siemens S7 plc and ABB drives equipment.
- Working closely with OEM suppliers, subcontractors and SK stakeholders to ensure that project scope and specification is thoroughly investigated and understood to ensure deliverables of quality, timely delivery and agreed budgets andare realised.
- Detailed planning of activities to ensure that available time and resource is used to maximum efficiency within a highly time constrained and fast paced manufacturing operation.
- Source and manage specialist resource to support with finding bespoke solutions.
- Manage approved budgets and documentation methods.
- Development and modification of electrical diagrams.
- Generation of I/O and process control equipment schedules from P&ID’s.
- Electrical engineering degree or equivalent, with a base knowledge of power generation and process control systems or suitable experience and/or qualifications.
- Substantial experience as a competent Electrical / Automation engineer working within a manufacturing or process environment.
- Experience in Instrumentation and control systems
- Worked as a lead engineer on multiple CAPEX projects in a fast paced and dynamic process driven environment.
- Diligent contractor selection and management of across all project phases.
- Excellent attention to detail with a logical, methodical approach to planning and clear focus when prioritising objectives.
- Strong understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental requirements within an industrial environment.
- Driven to continually improve standards.
- Experienced in programming and tuning Siemens and/or ABB PLC’s and drives.
- Strong understanding of industrial process control.

The position is site-based Monday to Friday and comes with a defined contributory pension scheme, private healthcare, and use of an onsite gym and canteen.
