Senior Content Manager

Lord Carter of Coles' report requires NHS organisations to order 80% of their goods via catalogues for their Procurement, to drive savings on contracted, standardised products and reduce the amount of clinical time spent on ordering. Many organisations loadcatalogue content into a dedicated system or directly into their financial solution, but NHS Shared Business Services does things a little differentlythe team designs a catalogue management strategy by business partnering with our clients to deliver a focusedcatalogue in line with clinical need.

We are looking for a Senior Content Manager to join our Transactional Procurement Catalogue Management Team as a progressive, proactive, responsive and innovative leader, delivering procurement-based support to NHS SBS clients. Responsible for providing andleading the delivery of content management to our partners and delivering the set targets, you will ensure that the service provided is sensitive, adaptable and flexible to changing needs.
**What you will be doing**:

- Mentoring, supporting and leading a team of Catalogue Procurement Partners with varying levels of expertise, enabling the delivery of successful outcomes and process compliance for their portfolio
- Managing and maintaining the electronic catalogues within the procurement system.
- Responsible for reviewing the quality and assessing catalogue content across the service clients
- Identifying areas of under-performance, working with the Systems Manager to identify resolutions and implementing change when required.
- Preparing and delivering a breadth of reports to senior staff groups, for both internal and external partners
- Using own initiative to accurately assess and process Catalogue management activities across a pletherer of systems
- Identifying software, hardware and configurations, ensuring they are following best practice and company standards, engaging with the relevant parties to support resolutions.

**What you will need**:

- Demonstrable experience within a similar position
- Experience of working within procurement, with a good understanding of key IT systems, including purchase-to-pay / ERP systems.
- A proven capability to manage a diverse personal portfolio of work, meeting and exceeding targets set whilst supporting others to deliver against their own objectives and workload.
- Ability to use theoretical and practical knowledge, judgement, commercial and technical skills in the understanding and management of a key process area within Catalogue or content management
- Ability to accurately identify catalogue and quotation opportunities and troubleshoot issues for others.
- Deliver quickly and accurately under pressure - ability to keep a level head in a constantly evolving high pressured environment

**It would be great if you had**:

- Experience in managing systems like GHX Nexus, (or similar catalogue management systems) Oracle, or procure to pay system exposure
- Solid understanding of the NHS
