ILS was founded in 2010 to support the safety of aid agencies / international charities that work in challenging, remote and hostile environments. Today we offer a range of different security training and risk advisory services designed to keep aid workers, students and researchers safe when they travel overseas.

**About the Position**
We are a quickly growing company and need a highly motivated and talented Office Administrator with an adaptable, enthusiastic and proactive approach to their work.
You will work within a close-knit team at the offices in Haywards Heath, 2 minutes walk from the train station with plenty of free parking.
You will interact with our risk advisors and training team, as well as our clients who come from a range of organisations and nations.
The Administrator is responsible for supporting the administrative and logístical work of ILS across its range of activities. Specific areas of work include:
- Support with training event management; (i.e. course booking support, liaison with venues and suppliers)
- Procurement of training supplies
- Domestic and International travel management support
- Office Management duties
- General business administration and office support.
You will need to be willing to take on a range of tasks in order to assist with the smooth and effective running of the business whilst supporting our continued growth.
You will be supported to build your knowledge and understanding of the work we do so that you can communicate authoritatively to our clients. Through your work at ILS you will also gain a good level of understanding of the critical work our clients deliver globally, including in countries effected by natural disasters and conflict, such as (for example) Ukraine, Gaza, Lebanon and Sudan.
All our staff get to attend our 3 day residential Hostile Environment Awareness Training course, which is a great introduction to our work.
The role is based at the ILS office, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility in the specific hours worked. We are looking for someone to provide a minimum of 30 hours a week (0.8 FTE) to maximum 37.5 hours a week (FTE).
**Requirements**:
- At least 2 years' work experience, or a graduate degree.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including an excellent ability to communicate with clients and external partners
- A very high level of attention to detail is essential
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Able to manage multiple workstreams in an efficient and effective manner
- Proactive and enthusiastic approach to your work
- Flexible approach and willingness to take on a range of tasks
- The ability to work well as part of a team
- IT literacy essential, with experience of using a range of commonly used software packages including Microsoft Office.
- An interest in Humanitarian Relief and International Development (desirable)
