**Are you looking for a role that will keep you busy and is never boring?**

Our client partners with a variety of companies that offer high quality laboratory, office and manufacturing facilities and they are looking for a **Security Officer** to work with tenants to ensure their security whilst on the site.

Role
- You will be responsible for patrol the site, either on foot or by vehicle, and to occupy static guarding posts controlling access to the site
- To assist in the implementation of emergency response plans
- You will operate control room systems including CCTV, alarms, and computers.
- Controlling access at designated gates and entrances
- Preventing unauthorized persons from entering restricted areas.
- Checking access passes and authorise access to all bona fide park personal.
- Escorting visitors around the park.
- Maintain databases, including access control and other records and databases.
- Conduct routine searches.
- Access Control, IDS (Intruder Detection System).
- Communicate effectively with Security staff

**Requirements**:

- Have excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Able to listen to communications via the radio or other telephony.
- Ability to perform lengthy foot patrols by day and night in all weather conditions.
- Able to stand, walk or sit for extended periods.
- Officers must be able to pick up a fire extinguisher and, walking briskly, carry it a minimum distance of 30m and then operate it.
- Demonstrate a strong customer focus.
- Experience of working within the Security Industry.
- Hold a current SIA Licence - for guarding (or equivalent).
- Be computer literate and experienced with computer software - Microsoft Office, Access control, Intruder alarm and fire alarm systems.
- Have a ‘Can do’ attitude.
- Hold a full current clean driving licence (must be over 21 - insurance requirement)
- PSS-CCTV license (not essential)
