**JOB- Project Engineer**
**LOCATION- Plymouth**
**TERM- Permanent**
**SALARY- £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)**My client designs and manufactures a range of products within the nuclear industryThey are rapidly growing as an organisation and are looking for a creative and ambitious Project Engineer to join their team in Plymouth on a permanent basis.This is a fantasticopportunity for someone who wants to expand on their Project Management skills within a growing company with opportunity for progression and growth.
**The Project Engineer will ideally have the following attributes**: - Qualified in Mechanical Engineering (NVQ / HNC / HND / Degree or similar)
- Experience working with consumer products
- Experience with **product development from concept through to production**is essential
- Previous experience working within project engineering and R&D
- Be able carry out mechanical design and read engineering drawings
- Experience in the marine / defence or nuclear and aerospace industries would be beneficial
- Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
- Have previous experience working within a similar manufacturing environment
- Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team

**The Project Engineer role will involve**: - Managing a team working on the company’s product range; the new product introduction process
- Being involved in managing **new product developments**:

- Taking things from concept to launch
- Balancing ambition, risk, time, and cost to deliver the best project output
- Liaising with customers as required keeping them up to date with project progress
- Producing technical drawings as needed
- Delivering and demonstrating project maturity at key milestones
- Sourcing and selecting components that are required
