We're looking for a **Health, Safety & Environment Business Partner** to join our team and support the **Director of Health, Safety and Security** and the **Head of Environment** in delivering First Bus's Health, Safety and Environmental strategies.

This is a high-impact role where you'll work closely with senior leaders and operational teams to drive continuous improvement, ensure compliance, and embed a culture of safety and sustainability across our business.

This is a **full-time,** permanent role, based in **Leicester** with **frequent travel across the UK**

**What you'll be doing**
- Partner with leaders to implement HS&E strategies and drive continuous improvement.
- Support ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 accreditation and maintain SMS & EMS systems.
- Lead initiatives to improve safety, environmental performance, and wellbeing.
- Advise and coach managers on legal compliance and practical HS&E solutions
- Conduct audits, risk assessments, and investigations to enhance standards.
- Analyse performance data, identify trends, and recommend improvements to senior Managers identifying opportunities for improvement
- Develop and deliver HS&E training and contribute to policy development.
- Represent First Bus at internal and external HS&E forums.

**About you**

**Qualifications**:

- NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum), working towards NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
- NEBOSH Environmental Management Certificate or IEMA equivalent
- Chartered Member of IOSH (or working towards)

**Skills & Experience**:

- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior levels
- Commercially astute with effective problem-solving abilities
- Experience in unionised, multi-site environments
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage time, prioritise, and work across a matrix structure
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and risk management expertise
- Skilled in delivering strategic training and development programmes
- Experience in project and change management
