We have an immediate need for an experienced M&A specialist to join us as an Associate Director with a view to them growing into a senior member of our M&A and Corporate Finance team.
This is a superb career opportunity for an ambitious self-starter. They will be given early responsibility leading on a variety of transactions and initiatives and we would expect them to progress rapidly to more senior positions as they prove their ability, and the team expands further. They will be expected to participate in Business Development initiatives and will have high level client exposure from the start.
They will be working directly with the Partners and Directors who play a very hands-on role within transactions and will be supported by the wider team.

Key responsibilities
- Developing and executing on M&A related transactions end-to-end with limited support from M&A Partner
- Help formulating bid strategy, and assisting on RFP/process deliverables and transaction negotiation work through to completion
- Coordinating and driving the execution for M&A related transactions, via existing internal M&A team, internal cross-functional teams, and external advisors
- With support from junior resources, you will be the day-to-day transaction lead for the entire execution process: business plan formulation, valuations, coordinating relationships with clients, partners and advisors
- Overseeing the preparation and presentation of transactions for approval at Partner level.
- Conducting market assessments, industry trends and long-term business planning
- Developing the individuals in the existing internal junior M&A team
- Work alongside the department to assist with the further development and execution of the CF growth strategy.
- Build non-CF relationships within the firm, particularly the M&A tax team, making a contribution to firmwide initiatives.
- Utilise and further develop their network of contacts to develop deal flow, source market intelligence, and originate both buy and sell-side mandates for the team

Skills & expertise
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience in developing and reviewing work financial models, valuations, training, mentoring and pitch presentations.
- Strong commercial acumen, analytical, technical M&A, presentation, and communication skills
- Strong communication skills, resilience and integrity along with knowledge of the industry and a strategic mind
- Thorough and diligent, strong written and oral communication skills, excellent attention to detail and outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Demonstrable experience in performing complex financial modelling and valuation analysis
- Autonomy to lead and run a deal from beginning to end, with excellent and exceptional execution experience
- Cultural awareness of working in a fast-moving professional services, investment banking or consulting environment
- Solid business development skills, a keen eye for opportunities, good intuition
