ABOUT THE ROLE*
Do you love inspiring and teaching others about data analytics, and thrive on seeing adults develop and learn new skills - Then this is the role for you.
Generation UK & Ireland is looking for exceptional instructors to teach our Data Analytics Bootcamp (remotely delivered), starting as soon as possible. You will be working with highly engaged groups of disadvantaged adults (18+) as they start their careers in the digital space.
We are seeking talented instructors to deliver our 11-week data analytics programme that equips learners with the behavioural skills, mindsets, and technical skills needed to become successful junior data analysts.
By joining Generation, you will become a part of a global community of instructors, with an opportunity to network and learn techniques from other trainers across the world. You will be supporting a cohort of approximately 25 students, many of whom have been marginalised or made redundant due to COVID-19, to break into their first tech jobs, thus creating a lifelong impact in their lives while helping the tech industry get job-ready talent.

Generation launched globally in 2015, and has grown quickly to become the world’s largest demand-led employment initiative. We have placed over 60,000 people into roles (all of whom have suffered some form of barrier to work), working with over 5,000 employer partners to date across 16 countries and 30 professions.
Generation UK&I is currently running training to employment programmes in the West Midlands, London, Manchester, Dublin, Leeds, and Scotland. We run a range of tech bootcamps with partners including The Prince’s Trust, Amazon Web Services, Multiverse, and Infinity Works, as well as programmes supporting people into healthcare, the green sector, and customer service roles. In addition, we provide lighter-touch career support for people looking to find work but who don't have a specific profession in mind.

RESPONSIBILITIES*
Delivery of Skills-based Training (80%) under the guidance of the Generation’s Head of Learning and Inclusion and with the support of Generation’s Learning Manager
- Follow the overarching structure and flow of the curriculum, including behavioural skills, mindsets, technical, and employment essentials sessions
- Guide students through asynchronous (independent) learning modules and help solidify understanding of debriefs and synchronous moments
- Prepare and personalise sessions by reviewing curriculum materials and integrating stories or examples to increase participant learning
- Engage participants in active thinking and participatory learning using effective communication and facilitation techniques.
- Differentiate instruction to meet individual learning needs and accommodate different learning preferences
- Provide in-the-moment feedback to participants to clarify misunderstandings and/or encourage critical thinking
- Provide relevant and timely feedback to students on formative and summative assessments, including student projects.
- Engage in Generation-sponsored instructional support, professional development, and training
