Multitask Recruitment Solutions are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Team Leader based in Blackburn.

The Role:

- Support work planning and provide supervisory support in organising, supporting and monitoring warehouse staff
- Carry out Warehouse Operative duties and tasks as required
- Provide effective training and retraining of warehouse staff in the skills and behaviours needed to perform to a high level.
- Ensure that all warehouse activities are carried out in compliance in line with company policies
- Report unsafe practices or equipment and communicate problems to the appropriate line manager.
- Ensure ERP transactions, for which warehouse are responsible, are carried out on a timely basis with the objectives of achieving very high accuracy and minimising the elapsed time between material movement and ERP transaction.
- Investigate and resolve stock and location errors identified though PI (Perpetual Inventory)
- Deputise for the Warehouse Supervisor in their absence to ensure day to day operational activities are uninterrupted.
- Conduct Stocktakes on an annual and ad hoc basis.
- Qualified to A Level standard or equivalent vocational qualification in a relevant skill.
- Two or more years of experience in Warehouse operations at either operator or supervisory level.
- Licenced to operate counterbalance FLT or equivalent with expectation to obtain further licenses as required for the role.
- Good understanding of written and spoken English to enable communication with colleagues and to understand written instructions, controlled documents and supplier order related documentation.
- Numeracy skills appropriate to accurately count materials and to providing summary information and reports for stock levels by volume and value, stock movements and analysis of stores activities.
- Willingness to support other team members and production management in the smooth running of the warehouse
- Demonstrable ability to adhere to FIFO stock rotation policies.
- Team leader or supervisory experience in a warehouse, materials or production environment.

Working Hours: 05:30-14:00 14:00-1030 rotating shifts

Attendance allowance of £40.00 per week.
