We are looking for a **Warehouse Shift Leader, **based at our Distribution Centre, Walker Park in** Blackburn.**

**About the role **

You will be known for competently leading the entire warehouse operation on a daily basis. With accountability for ensuring all specified targets are identified and consistently met in line with published KPI requirements. Actively monitors and responds to trends accordingly to ensure efficient and effective operation and report as appropriate. Widely known to external stakeholders as the first point of contact for operational activities, your professional knowledge, experience and expertise allow you to plan operations to meet customer expectations.

**Key Responsibilities **
- Lead the operational team and be accountable for the successful planning and allocation of resources appropriate to achieve daily productivity targets
- Develop operational communication to inform team members of shift priorities, key changes and challenges and company updates as applicable and ensure implementation and timely delivery
- Ensure that orders are picked, packed and dispatched in line with the SLA and major anomalies identified, rectified and communicated as applicable
- Manage intake and vendors within the vendor scorecard processes with regard to efficiency, delivery accuracy, product quality and compliance.
- Accountable for ensuring that all aspects of the operation comply with the appropriate Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements. All products accepted into the DC are to comply with the appropriate labelling, hazardous marking and ingredient legislation
- Effective people management activities of all direct and indirect reports
- Promote a positive safety culture at all levels within the DC. Accountable for the safe operation of all machinery and MHE, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation, company policy, risk assessments, safe systems of work and work instructions

**About you **
- Professional Logistics Qualification or 5 plus years’ relevant professional experience in a leadership role
- IOSH managing safely
- Proven success in coaching, developing and progressing team members
- Evidence of operational awareness - creating and implementing action plans to build the business
- Strong health and safety management and awareness
- Experience of supervising forklift truck operations
- Experience of budget and cost control
