Job Description We are seeking a proactive and experienced Warehouse Team Manager to lead operations at our Defence Logistics Centre in Samlesbury. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring a high-performing warehouse operation that meets key performance indicators, exceeds customer expectations, and upholds the highest standards of quality and compliance. This role has a strong focus on Quality Management Systems, particularly ISO 9001, and is ideal for candidates with experience in managing teams within regulated environments. Key Responsibilities Lead and motivate the warehouse team to achieve daily and weekly KPIs. Ensure a proactive approach to Health and Safety across all operations. Drive a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. Manage and maintain accurate process flows, work instructions, and quality documentation in line with ISO 9001 standards. Ensure all staff are trained, inducted, and supported with ongoing development plans. Monitor and manage performance, attendance, timekeeping, and sickness levels. Provide a responsive and professional service to internal and external stakeholders. Act as a key holder and ensure site security and compliance. Develop trusted relationships with stakeholders across Wincanton and the wider business. Champion quality assurance and compliance, ensuring alignment with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards. Skills & Experience Proven experience in warehouse or logistics team management. Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems, particularly ISO 9001. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Proactive, flexible, and solution-oriented mindset. Strong operational knowledge and project management experience. IT literate, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and warehouse systems. Ability to coach, develop, and inspire teams. Experience in regulated or defence-related environments is desirable.
