**Job Title**: Senior Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

**Location**: York YO23

**Salary**: £47,810 - £54,710 per annum DOE (Pro Rata) + £3,000 Welcome Bonus (T&Cs apply)

**Hours**: 28 hours per week

**Role Overview**:
We are seeking a **Senior Specialist Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT)** to provide professional leadership within a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team. This role involves delivering specialist assessment and interventions for adults with acquired brain injury (ABI) and contributing to service development.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Work autonomously as a speech and language therapist within a multidisciplinary team.
- Assess how a person’s communication impacts daily life and provide appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with service users and their social networks to overcome communication barriers.
- Develop communication management plans and rehabilitation strategies, seeking specialist assessments as required.
- Provide training to staff and service users’ social networks.
- Contribute to service and organisational development.

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
- Registered with the **HCPC**.
- Achieved Dysphagia Competencies.
- Specialist knowledge of SaLT models and interventions in ABI (e.g., social communication, cognitive communication, communication partner training).
- Ability to manage complex dysphagia within an adult neurology caseload.
- Minimum 4 years qualified experience with complex case management.
