**Description**
The key responsibilities of the Finance Officer will include but may not be limited to;
- To be responsible for the accurate recording of all financial and payroll transactions within the School accounting system, the day to day supervision of the Finance Assistant and assisting the Director of Finance and Operations;
- Ensuring that all financial and payroll transactions are accurately recorded within the School accounting system.
- Preparing timely Bank reconciliations and a monthly cash Receipts and Payments summary.
- Ensuring correctly authorised payments are made by Cheque, BACS and Company credit card;
- Ensuring that the Debtors and Creditors ledgers are reconciled on a monthly basis, and agree to the nominal ledger.
- Working seamlessly with the Director of Finance and Operations to ensure that wages and salaries are prepared accurately and paid by the due date each month.
**Profile**
- Excellent standard of literacy and numeracy - Minimum requirement being GCSE at grades A* - C in Mathematics & English;
- AAT qualified or part-qualified (ideally);
- Significant accountancy experience;
- Experience in payroll administration;
- Previous experience of working in a complex, busy, service driven environment;
- Ability to work on own initiative and organise own workload.
**Job Offer**
