**Finance Officer (Payroll and Pensions)**

I am working in partnership with a diverse and vibrant Further Education Institution based in Greater Manchester that is seeking to recruit a Finance Officer (Payroll and Pensions) to support and oversee key aspects of the Finance Function.

**Overview of the role**

The focus of the role will be responsible for Payroll and Pensions administration whilst working closely with HR colleagues to deliver highly accurate records and timely payments. This is an Interim role with the opportunity to become permanent.
- As Finance Officer some of your key responsibilities include:_
- Supporting the Head of Finance in providing a high quality, accurate and responsive Finance Service to the College
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with internal Colleagues to embed and regulate financial policies
- Liaising with External parties on Tax, Pensions and Banking purposes
- Line managing finance staff and conducting regular appraisals
- Administering and reconciling monthly payroll runs and pension reports for both Local Government Pension and Teacher Pension.
- Ensuring the integrity of the Finance ledgers and accounting system

**Essential Skills & Qualifications**:

- Experience in Pensions and Payroll Administration is essential.
- Experience working in an educational institution is desirable.
