A permanent role based in Cheshire, looking for a Lead Pay and Pensions Advisor within the Public Sector.

**Client Details**

Our client works with the Public and Organisations around the UK to encourage transparency on information and that obligations are being met for both parties.

**Description**

The key responsibilities of the role will include, but may not be limited to;
Ensure that appropriate policies and procedures are followed and implemented to meet pay and pension schedule requirements within structured time frames.

In conjunction with the People Services operational team, ensure that managers and staff receive appropriate advice and support on the resolution of pay and pensions queries, providing the first point of contact for queries from team members and wider department.

Respond to enquiries from employees and external stakeholders, such as pensions administrators, regarding pay and benefits issues. This may include the research and checking of historical pay data.

Support the Pay and Reward Business Partner to ensure the organisation has effective relationships with external suppliers and organisations involved in the pay, pensions and benefit process e.g. Civil Service Pension Scheme, external payroll provider, andsuppliers of staff benefits.

Work with operational People Services colleagues to ensure that the People database is effectively managed and used by team members and its use is maximised to improve efficiency in relation to the payroll and pension process.

Maintain accurate and up to date electronic and manual records which are compliant with legislation and the retention and records management policies.

Take responsibility for pay, pensions and reward processes ensuring the department is compliant with internal policies and procedures; legal requirements; Treasury Guidance; and HMRC rules.

Support the Pay and Reward Business Partner by contributing to the production of reports on key performance indicators and using the information to continually improve standards and effectiveness.

Deputise for the business partner when required.

**Profile**
- About3years' experience in a payrollfunction
- Experience of using HR and payroll databases and managing sensitive data
- Effective written communication skills
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
- Excellent team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders

**Job Offer**
- A permanent role, with huge flexibility and working arrangements;
- Between £28,000 and £34,000 per annum;
- An opportunity to partner with the senior leadership team and be involved within strategy.
