**SEN Teaching Assistant**

**Paid £449 per week

**Starting September

**Free training in Safeguarding and Autism Support

**Graduate Teaching Assistant

**Support children with SEN

**Monday-Friday - 35 hrs per week

**Long-term role for the full academic year

**SEN TA -- Person Specification**

**A 2:1 or above degree

**Experience working with children, not necessarily in a school

**Knowledge of SEN/Previous experience supporting children with additional needs

**Spark, energy and enthusiastic personality

**Easy to work with and a good sense of humour

SEN Teaching Assistant -- The Role

**Responsibilities**
- Support children with autism in their learning and development through tailored teaching strategies.
- Assist in implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) to meet each child's unique needs.
- Foster a nurturing environment that promotes social skills and emotional well-being.
- Communicate effectively with parents and staff regarding children's progress and any concerns.
- Engage in activities that encourage cognitive and physical development, ensuring a safe and supportive atmosphere.

This is a perfect role for an aspiring Educational Psychologist You will be working within a specialist provision for children with Autism at a successful mainstream school. An interest in Autism is essential and volunteer placements with primary aged children with special needs is a bonus.

The school is located just a short bus ride from Manchester city centre and would be an easy commute on public transport
