Based in Cardiff, Rainbow International ( South Wales & Bristol) are part of a UK franchise network who carry out fire and flood restoration projects for the UK’s top insurance customers.
We need an experienced administrator/ insurance claims handler to join a small office based team. You will liaise with insurance clients, customers and with our technicians in the field.
You will deal with your own files and caseload from start to finish.
**Full training will be given and this is a challenging role whereby you need to be**:
Be comfortable working alone and also in a small team.
A conscientious and hard worker Have excellent communication skills and an excellent telephone manner.
An ability to work under pressure and prioritise your workload Excellent computer skills Develop working relationships with customers, key clients ( such as loss adjusters, insurance companies, Brokers, surveyors etc) and our technicians in the field.
Previous administration experience essential. Some Insurance claims handling experience an advantage. Experience in planning and allocation of work to field based staff an advantage. Any previous experience of marketing and the use of social media would be useful but not mandatory.
A good geographical knowledge of the area as this is essential when planning and arranging technicians appointments in the field.
Be enthusiastic and happy to learn technical information about our services therefore gaining more service knowledge. There will be the opportunity to attend courses and toolbox talks to gain further knowledge. Also the opportunity to accompany a technician to site to see some projects at 1st hand.
We are situated on an industrial estate out of the city centre so your own transport would be required to get to and from work.
Salary will be negotiable depending upon previous experience. Pay would increase with the experience that you gain and as you develop with the role. Holiday Allowance ( in addition to bank holidays ) : For the 1st years service 22 days, After 1 years service - 23 days, After 3 years service - 25 days After 5 years service - 28 days, After 10 years service - 30 days There is also the opportunity for staff to take unpaid leave by prior discussion and agreement with management.
