Male Personal Care Assistant/support Worker Ref:

Male Personal Care Assistant / Support Worker required to assist a man with a Motor Neuron Disease and a Physical Disability living in the Rutherglen area.
You would be required to provide one to one care and assistance within their home, including attending to personal care and participation in social activities. Your duties would involve assisting with tasks such as:
- Attending to all personal care needs (showering, toileting including bowel movements, shaving)
- Assisting with medication
- Preparing meals and healthy snacks
- Moving and assisting - pushing manual wheelchair
- Any other daily living tasks to promote independent living
Must take a proactive and innovative approach to support and encourage individual to be involved in activities suited to their needs.
Favourite activities are music, band management, event organising, social media, sensory experiences and socialising.
Pets in the household - you must be comfortable working with a dog in the home.
Experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
The most important qualities are a warm and friendly nature and a desire to work within a caring role.
Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
**Hours of Work (with a degree of flexibility)**
Recruiting for two positions.
Positions of 16 hours per week - casual role leading to a permanent position, to be discussed at interview.
**Days and times**:
Monday to Friday - during the day, this is flexible and to be discussed at the interview.
Occasional weekends and evenings may be required.
**Hourly rate**:
£12.00 per hour
