We seek an experienced purchasing and order processing administrator for a 7 week assignment starting ASAP for one of our client in the Burgess Hill area.

The role will involve the daily progress chasing of purchased parts and the administration of the reports that allow the company to have full visibility of the status of bought in parts relative to our manufacturing orders.

They would expect that we would need the person for five days a week, at about 4 hours per day. Working hours between 09:00 and 17:00 and we can offer some flexibility with starting times.

If the required tasks are completed within the four hours, we would expect other duties to be taken on, one of which may be to help in the Warehouse by making stock counts etc.

The skills needed;
- Able to work unsupervised and follow a daily procedural routine.
- PC literate - Especially MS Excel & Outlook.**:

- Well organised, diligent and able to look at data with a high degree of accuracy.**:

- Able to learn our Sale Order Processing System (“Progress Plus”).
- Experience of purchasing functions - especially understanding lead times and order receipt.
- Experience of working in a warehouse.
Non Essential skills;
Working with Schneider electrical components.
Electrical Component Experience.
Good telephone manner with experience of dealing with Europe.
Negotiating prices (we work to pre-defined sales price lists), but there is scope for these skills to be used.
