**Coeliac UK** currently has an exciting opportunity for a **Head of Account Management & Sales**,** **to** **join our team based in **High Wycombe**. You will join us on a** full time **basis. In return you will receive a competitive salary of up to £50k DOE based on experience plus 36 days holiday a year including bank holidays.

**The Head of Account Management & Sales role**:
Coeliac UK is committed to improving the lives of people who are reliant on gluten free food. The Commercial Services team supports this commitment through the provision of certified food safety products for food manufacturers (the Crossed Grain Trademark licensing scheme) and caterers (our Gluten Free Accreditation scheme). We also offer training for businesses and opportunities to advertise to or sponsor activities aimed at our gluten free community.

The Head of Account Management & Sales is responsible for establishing and managing the relationships with our commercial customers to ensure customer satisfaction, the growth of existing and new business and the achievement of business objectives. The role includes the management and leadership of the sales fulfilment team to achieve annual sales targets. You will collaborate with the Head of Commercial Development and the Marketing Manager to develop strategies to achieve our long term growth targets.

**Key responsibilities of the Head of Account Management & Sales**:

- Own the sales strategy, updating to ensure it remains current and fit for purpose.
- Work with Head of Commercial Development to develop marketing and promotional strategies to support focussed sales development.
- Deliver the account management strategy, building strong and sustainable relationships with key commercial partners
- Prepare annual sales projections and set SMART KPIs
- Monitor client feedback and sector trends to identify opportunities for growth and feed into the improvement of existing products or development of new ones
- Manage the sales strategy against the charity’s policies and values.
- Lead sales of advertising and sponsorship opportunities, including prepare and deliver pitches to prospective customers, with follow through to close deals.
- Lead sales of food safety products
- Manage sales fulfilment activities across the charity’s product range
- Undertake face to face and remote sales and account meetings, leading to customer engagement, acquisition and retention
- Ensure Commercial sales processes and reporting provide view of sales delivery and relevant management information
- Coordinate and manage the sales team to secure income to agreed targets
- Performance monitoring and reporting to the Director of Commercial Services
- Contribute to project teams created to develop existing or new products
- Promotion of gluten free food safety in the press and at events
- Lead and manage the sales’ team to deliver against plan and budget.
- Support the sales’ team to maximise its potential.

Performance manage staff against their personal objectives and sales’ targets.

**Knowledge, Skills and Experience required for the Head of Account Management & Sales**:

- Determined, and results-driven
- Graduate or similar
- Sales experience working with all levels
- Commitment to the charity’s values and mission
- Scientific or technical background is desirable, particularly related to food
- Ability to build relationships and rapport and skilled in account management
- Analytical and numerate with necessary skills to produce, monitor and interpret financial information and reports
- Confident and knowledgeable user of IT systems including CRM databases
- A positive, personable and confident communicator
- A confident and motivated team player, experienced in managing people
- Ability to identify new business opportunities and generate additional income
- Ability to manage workload on own initiative within a team environment and to motivate people
- Excellent time management skills including an ability to prioritise long term projects and goals
- Knowledge of the FMCG market and ideally the gluten-free market is desirable
