**About The Role**:
In your role as the Estates/Maintenance Operative, you will be expected to uphold the Company’s aims and objectives in ensuring that the property and associated grounds are kept in a safe, well maintained and compliant manner at all times. You must work to the Company Policies and Procedures carrying out all aspects of your role competently and safely at all sites at which you are engaged or as directed by the relevant Property Services Officer.
This role will require the individual to travel around six services in West Wales to complete compliance checks and undertake minor works. Mileage can be claimed back. This role is for 30 hours per week.
Main responsibilities
To ensure the site always remains a safe, secure and pleasant environment to work, reside or visit.
To ensure that all critical systems and services such as drainage, water, lighting, heating, fire and related alarm systems are functioning appropriately.
To work in conjunction with / alongside the Registered Service Manager, Senior Management representatives and Authorities in maintaining a well-planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance regime
**About you**
You will have demonstrable competence in one or more of the following trades;
- joinery; decoration; plumbing and spent at least 2 years in a similar maintenance based role.
You will have experience of loan working and ability to work on allocated tasks without or with mínimal supervision supported by good Outlook, Excel and Microsoft word skills.
Able to undertake general gardening duties including mowing grassed areas, tending to plant areas, cut back shrubbery & bushes/hedges etc.
