Our team of Business Development Managers are an integral part of the business and key to the growth strategy we have in place. You will receive an excellent on-boarding programme and continue to be supported, trained and developed as your career progresses.
Key responsibilities:
- Achieve branch revenue, new customer targets, and associated KPI’s.
- Create an annual, quarterly, monthly sales activity plan for the branch.
- Execute the branch sales activity plan, with a structured approach, to include new customer prospecting, dormant account reactivation, selling into existing customer base and local marketing campaigns.
- Regularly meeting with franchise owner / branch manager to evidence and review business development activity and progress versus the sales activity plan.
- Research and actively target potential new business customers, through a variety of media, to include LinkedIn, FAME, social media etc.
- Conduct face to face meetings/virtual meetings and outgoing phone calls.
- Possess a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Speedy Freight operational processes, systems and procedures.
- Possess a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all Speedy Freight services and products.
- Ability to effectively pitch all Speedy Freight services and products to new and existing customers. Prepare and present quotations and proposals to prospective new clients.
- Actively promote and sell Speedy Freight Services and Products to new and existing customers.
- Develop a collaborative and close working relationship with Customer Sales Advisors, to identify and act on new business opportunities.
- Able to use all company IT systems effectively.
- To use and maintain all business development activity within the Hubspot CRM system.
- To maintain and develop successful business relationships, minimising customer churn and maximising potential with all accounts.
- Re-activate dormant accounts.
- Promote Speedy Freight into the local community, such as Chamber of Commerce.
- Attend all BDM forum meetings and calls, actively share best practices, ways of working, potential regional and national leads with the BDM population.
- **Qualifications**:
- **Core** - Full Driving Licence.
- IT Literate including Microsoft, word, excel and outlook.
- Written, oral English and Mathematics to GCSE standard
- **Desirable**:
- Awareness of Legislation
- Excel / PowerPoint presentations skills.
- **Experience**:
- Direct Sales in a Business-to-Business environment
- Planning and executing sales activity plans
- Managing workload independently
**Salary**: £25,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
