Sr. Product Designers are first and foremost, masters of their craft. They exhibit a profound dedication to comprehending customer challenges, consistently striving to streamline solutions while thoughtfully navigating technical limitations.

They pull from their deep experience to identify creative solutions to complex problem spaces. They rapidly iterate and come to the table with ideas that make you say “Oh, I didn’t think of that...” and generate multiple viable solutions, while evaluating tradeoffs with the broader team.

They are responsible for the success of large feature sets and/or whole products and track their impact on customers via metrics like NPS and app store ratings.

They are master collaborators and can guide their cross-functional product team to advance product thinking by getting ideas on paper. They are a master of “yes, and” and can pull the best ideas out of the people around them.

They are master story tellers and can drive alignment on their teams by clearly articulating decisions made in their designs

A successful Sr. practitioner has a keen understanding of project planning. They can predict and manage stressors, unrealistic timelines, and competing priorities and resolve them with their teammates.

They are experts at validation research methodologies. They feel comfortable shooting off a quick unmoderated test and can craft and facilitate moderated tests with little guidance from the research team.

Sr. Product Designers lead by example. They uphold a standard of design excellence that is sought after by their more junior peers. They show how to successfully participate in group activities like weekly design crits.

They are a force of positivity on their teams— finding the way forward in tough situations, celebrating the small wins, and projecting a positive tone when times are hard.

They have a keen understanding of the developer process. They possess an empathy for the iterative process of development and technical constraints but can also pull on their experience to push back when necessary.

Proficiency in French would be advantageous, enabling effective communication with French-speaking clients and stakeholders.

**Qualifications**
Skills Required
- An exceptional portfolio that shows your strengths in both UX and visual design
- 5+ years of product design experience at a software company or agency
- Experience leading design on initiatives and projects from beginning to end with a track record of success
- Compelling presentation and communication skills. You can speak succinctly and thoughtfully about your design work.
- Demonstrate empathy and understanding of the development process. You understand the impact of design decisions and can talk-the-talk with developers
- Bonus points. You have hands-on FE development experience and feel comfortable tinkering with css or building a codepen
- Proven evaluative research skills. You are comfortable performing both moderated and unmoderated evaluative research
- Highly proficient with design tools (we’re a big fan of Figma)
- Experience using and/or building design systems
- Proactive, self-motivated learner with a strong drive to achieve personal goals
- Ability to work in a team where you manage your own time and priorities
- Motivated by a fast-paced environment where you will have to constantly adapt - no two days are the same
