**Summary**:
Navy Command Headquarters (NCHQ) in Whale Island, Portsmouth, is the strategic headquarters of the Royal Navy, which includes the Royal Fleet Auxiliary, Royal Marines and Reserves. It supports operations around the globe and provides the ships, people, aircraft and equipment to deliver the UK’s defence policy. NCHQ supports all the Royal Navy’s activities from front-line operations to personnel support and training; finance and governance; safety; equipment acquisition; programmes and planning; and Defence Engagement. Civil Servants and Armed Forces personnel work together in a wealth of interesting and challenging jobs in different disciplines, from finance; legal services; personnel and HR; project planning and managing contracts, to media and communications.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.

**Job description**:
This role sits at the heart of the C4ISR-N6 Sub-directorate, directly supporting the Deputy Director (Captain Royal Navy) to assist coordinating CEMA (Cyber and Electromagnetic Activities) and C4ISR (Command, Control, Communications and Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance). The sub-directorate is comprised of the CEMA, Maritime C4ISR, ICT, MSCU Command, MarWorks innovation and N6 operations teams. These teams work closely together on inter-related activities to provide Navy Commands (NC) CEMA, C4ISR and ICT Subject Matter Expertise (SME).

The co-ordinator function is critical to the smooth running of the broad and cross cutting C4ISR-N6 Sub-directorate. The C4ISR-N6 Coordinator is a single point of contact for external personnel, ensuring all relevant parties within the sub-directorate are engaged in a timely fashion and that external deadlines and commitments are met.

Primary Purposes:
To coordinate the schedule of C4ISR-N6 Sub-directorate activities, engaging within NCHQ, the wider RN and across Defence.

Support Deputy Director C4ISR-N6, with co-ordination of management information and tasking within the sub-directorate:
Monitoring Performance Dashboards

Meeting / Working Group administration and coordination

Bring up management of formal performance returns

Coordination and coherence of C4ISR-N6 Management Information

C4ISR-N6 event management and coordination

Recording decisions and information management

Support Performance Cost Review meetings including cohering preparation materials

Support Team Leaders within the C4ISR-=N6 Sub-directorate, encompassing:
Assistance with staff workload allocation

Provide advice and guidance on reporting, allowances and awards.

General administrative assistance ie
- business plan and report writing.

Secondary Purposes:
Act as the sub-directorates Data Protection Officer, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Officer, SharePoint Team Site Admin (TSA), MODnet Expert User and DEFnet publisher.

Attend weekly HQ COORDs Meeting.

Authorised to sign letters and release signals on matters relating to achievement of role purposes.

Authorised to liaise with all MoD authorities as necessary to achieve role purposes

**Responsibilities**:
Coordinate the schedule of CEMA & C4ISR Sub-directorate activities - 25%

Support Team leaders with staff workload allocation - 15%

Support Team leaders with personnel reporting and management information - 30%

Support Deputy Director C4ISR-N6, with co-ordination of management information and tasking within the sub-directorate - 25%

Act as DPA and Diversity and Inclusion Adviser - 5%
