An Exciting opportunity for an ambitious and proactive qualified Financial Director

The Role

Based out of our head office in Doncaster this is an excellent opportunity for an ACMA or ACA qualified Financial Director. You would be responsible for running the UK and international finance function including accounts, credit management and payroll.

You’ll be imbedded into the senior management team and use your commercial foresight to help identify and drive profitability in our business units, whilst inputting into the development and execution of the company’s growth strategy.

The core working hours are 8:30am-5:15pm Monday to Thursday, 8:30am-4pm on Fridays. Ours systems are cloud based, so although the roll is not a hybrid position, some remote working is feasible.

A highly competitive package is on offer with a base salary of up to £80,000 depending on experience (negotiable) with a company car/car allowance, private healthcare (bupa) and company pension scheme.

Key responsibilities
- Working with the leadership team in order to execute and evolve the strategic growth plan.
- Provide insightful analysis and support to contract negotiations with clients, whilst taking a lead with contract negotiations with suppliers.
- To deliver a first-class financial management, reporting and control function that enables the profitable growth of the business, producing multiple P&L’s, management accounts and management information across multiple companies within the group.
- Lead and develop an efficient finance, credit and payroll support team currently consisting of 8 team members, along with taking charge of VAT, Tax and treasury duties
- Maximise business performance through the provision of sound financial and commercial support and monitoring progress against plans. Particular areas of focus are; risk management, efficiency/cost analysis, working capital management, investment appraisal,KPI management, cash flow forecasting and business case production for capitalisation and funding initiatives.
- Maintain the robustness of financial controls and expenditure
- Management of multicurrency funds
- You’ll be a high calibre Finance Director with a minimum of 10 years track record of success in finance and accounts within the service sector.
- Able to demonstrate strong verbal communication and management skills and a proactive approach to use your position and knowledge to help drive profitability.
- You’ll have the personality and conviction to challenge the status quo, test the validity of forecasts presented to you whilst having a tight grip on expenditure ensure that we maximise our return on investment.
- A highly driven and energetic individual with gravitas that is passionate about making a fundamental impact upon the business. Commercial and operational acumen coupled with analytical and strategic thinking capacity.
- Experience in managing a payroll (ideally with exposure to a contractor payroll), credit control, VAT and Tax
- ACMA or ACA qualified
- Substantial previous success of enhancing business performance by providing business partnering support and a first-class financial reporting and management framework.
