The successful applicant will be developing and delivering upon fantastic customer relationships within their geographical area (South East).
Reporting to the Head of Trade Sales the role is primarily desk based from our Ruddington Office but with a dynamic element, in order to engage with customers across an agreed territory & in support of the Regional Business Development Manager or Head ofTrade Sales
**What skills and experience are we looking for?**
You will be Identifying and qualifying opportunities through business conversations, generating enquiries and improving sales over the phone and in person, when agreed by the Head of Trade Sales.
- Create and deliver upon a call plan for a set geographic territory to assist in growing sales to their customer segment & region working in collaboration with the Business Development Manager and Head of Trade Sales.
- Generate business opportunities from the set account base & prospects, recording all contact points in CRM
- Providing a dedicated point of contact; owning the customer relationship, through having a comprehensive knowledge of the customers' account
- Work closely with the Business Development Manager to optimise opportunities and deliver the business plan as set by the Head of Trade Sales
- Take a proactive approach to building relationships and engaging with customers making the customer feel supported both remotely and during the pre-agreed and well planned field sales visits
- Gather customer insight on price and competitor activity, providing feedback to the Head of Trade Sales alongside pricing recommendations
- Reviewing customers' order history and advising on how to optimise orders, including cross selling, up-selling and link selling as appropriate
- Analysing information on buying history and spend patterns to make recommendations to the Customer, Business Development Manager & Head of Trade Sales to capitalise on opportunities for increased sales
