Lead PHP / Laravel Developer - up to 65K DOE
Work from home / remote / 3 days per week in Derby
Are you an experienced Lead Developer, looking for a new and exciting challenge and would like to work for an award-winning and growing Software Company, who uses the latest technology?
Based in the heart of Derby, we are looking for a new Lead PHP/Laravel Developer to join a rapidly growing team, who has already more than tripled in size and revenue in the last 18 months and are looking to keep this momentum and expand the team further.
The successful Lead Developer will collaborate closely with the sales team to develop bespoke solutions for their clients, whilst mentoring, supporting and training junior, mid-level and senior developers.
Skills/environment (not all essential):
*Proven commercial experience as a PHP developer using Laravel
*Scalable PHP Application experience
*Front-end languages - HTML, Tailwind CSS, Alpine JS, Vue, React, JavaScript
*Experience with Wordpress would be a plus
*In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (planning, design, development and deployment)
*Knowledge of version control systems, preferably Git.
*Knowledge of project management systems (Clickup, Jira, Monday ETC)
*Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, knowledge of SOLID principles advantageous
*Experience with MySQL and database-driven CMS
*Running Agile projects and Agile methodologies
*Working with third-party libraries and remote data APIs via REST and JSON.
*Unit tests and TDD
*Experience of managing a team of developers ranging from junior to senior.

**Salary**: 65K depending on experience
