Qualified Social Worker

Pixel Personnel are currently recruiting for an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our clients Assessment & Intervention Team based in Bognor, West Sussex. Excellent rates of pay on offer up to £40 per hour (Umbrella) & £100 weekly expense allowancetowards accommodation. This is a full time role based on 37 hours per week. Hybrid working on offer, visits are being undertaken face to face and social workers would be required on site for duty weeks (1 every 4 weeks)As a Children's Social Worker you willbe at the forefront of assessing need and risk for vulnerable children and their families. You will be responsible for achieving positive change and improved outcomes by undertaking high quality assessments, care planning and, as appropriate, child protectioninvestigations, to prevent the separation of children from their families where possible. You will ensure that children and young people are adequately protected in line with our policies, procedures and relevant legislation.You will act as a professionalwho practices effectively with high quality judgement, in situations of complexity, risk, uncertainty and challenge in line with the Professional Capabilities Framework. Manage caseloads with confidence and independence and are recognised as a source of reliableknowledge and advice and use your initiative to broaden your expertise. You help to support case conferences and produce quality assessments, taking shared responsibility and be accountable for your professional development. You will support equality and diversityand respect anyone working for or in contact with WSCC.The office base for the South A&I team is in Bognor. The office has some onsite parking and is close distance to the A24 and A27. As the geographical area we cover is quite large, a driving licence isrequired.Well as celebrate good practice and take time to get to know each other. Social workers are offered regular supervision from their managers as well as additional support from the Advanced Practitioners who sit within the team. We also have a veryskilled group of child and family workers to support social workers in their intervention work with children and families.During the pandemic we have worked flexibly to promote staff wellbeing which has involved more home working and we have worked hard toensure that staff feel that they always have good support and access to a manager. West Sussex is an improving authority with a commitment to service transformation. Agency staff are treated as part of the service andencouraged to attend transformational and other leadership events Caseloads in A&I South team - on average, 20 per Social WorkerQualified Social Worker Requirements: Degree in relevant professional or equivalent qualification e.g. Certificate of Qualificationin Social Work or Diploma in Social Work. Able to analyse and interpret information and data, prioritise needs and formulate plans for intervention and service provision. Able to work proactively as a member of the team to make accurate assessments of needsand negotiate and implement effective outcomes. Able to work in partnership with carers, colleagues and external agencies to deliver an effective service. Able to communicate clearly and effectively in both written and oral format, including the ability toexplain complicated information to others and use negotiation and persuasion skills to encourage others to adopt a course of action. Able to recognise limits of own accountability and responsibility and seek appropriate support, advice and supervision.
