Production Team Leader Ftc 9-12 Months

The Team Leader is a key member of the Manufacturing function at Medik8, and this newly defined role will be critical in progressing our agenda.

As the Team Leader you’ll drive improvement in our production environment through strong analytics and attention to detail. The role will report into the Production Manager.

You will be involved in ensuring that protocols are adhered to, performing verification checks, raising standards and ensuring that the Production and Quality teams work together in progressing the business.Openings are available across our morning and afternoon shifts.

This is a fixed term contract to cover 9-12 months and there may be an opportunity for a permanent role during the contract.

Working closely with the Production Manager, you will, through objective analysis, develop the team and the culture at Medik8.Your focus will be to work autonomously to independently assess compliance within the department, and within a team to ensure that areas of improvement are understood and acted upon. This will result in a sustainably superior way of working, and will continue progressing the excellent culture at Medik8.

Your ability to assess, communicate and mentor will be paramount in driving ongoing improvement. Working with the Medik8 team, metrics will be used to track the progress as we continue to grow.

**In more detail your role will include**:

- **Process**:

- Performing verification of the checks performed within the department.
- Developing the current checking system, through experience and dynamic assessment.
- The ability to analyse data, communicate findings effectively, to drive change and to ensure that standards are raised.
- Working with your line manager and peers to ensure that progress is measured, and that you receive the necessary support in this role.
- **Management**:

- Day to day management of the team
- Act as a champion for improvement
- Supporting the Production Manager in building team effectiveness throughout the department
- Create a culture of Health & Safety awareness, good manufacturing practice, high quality standard, good housekeeping
- Proactively linking in with functions across the business, to ensure that relationships can be built cross-functionally

- Excellent social skills: ability to build and be a great partner within the business.
- Strong communication levels, both written and verbal.
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Problem solving ability.
- Solid I.T skills, including the use of standard I.T suites.
- Solid team management skills.
- Experience of continuous improvement using analytical data and driving change.
- Working knowledge/experience of ISO standards such as 9001, 22716, (Cosmetics GMP) and FDA or equivalent regulatory requirements, would be desirable but are not a pre-requisite.
