**Job Purpose**:
To control, verify, print and record labels for production, ensuring the information is accurate in accordance with the customer specification.

To issue the packaging requirements to the production team and to maintain print room stock level accurate and minimise label wastage.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- To control the data entry, correct input parameters and verification or labels.
- To control the printing, production and issue of labels to up to date specifications and technical standards
- To complete clear administrative records regarding the printing, traceability and issue of labels.
- To effectively achieve KPI’s as set by the Print Room Supervisor/Packaging Manager
- To maintain high levels of health, safety, hygiene, housekeeping and contamination practices and standards in your work area
- To ensure the maintenance and improvement of the department and associated equipment to documented agreed standards i.e. BRC, HACCP, PIU
- To clearly communicate between all staff in your team and Management, action and report any non-compliances to appropriate management
- To carry out additional responsibilities relevant to the technical department as directed by the Print Room Supervisor and/or Packaging Manager
- To be adaptable and flexible in your approach to work
- To perform any reasonable request within the scope of the role

The job holder will be required to regularly work to tight deadlines that may require additional hours to be worked at times of pressure and will be working

**Essential Criteria**:

- Must be able to read and communicate in English
- Numeracy and literacy skills
- PC literate
- Great attention to detail
- Organised
- Team player and ability to work unsupervised
- Endurance to work in a fast paced environment
- Able to work in a cold environment for extended periods of time
- Willing to learn and progress

**Desirable Criteria**:

- Previous experience in fresh produce is an advantage (print room, even more)
- PC skills in various software

**Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off, 7am to 7pm, 1 hour unpaid lunch break**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £11.43 per hour
