**What you’ll be doing**:
As a CMM Quality Inspector, you will be expected to use engineering principles in order to oversee the programming and operating of Faro Arm and Co-ordinate Measuring Machines (C.M.M.) used to verify the dimensional accuracy of component parts, fixtures and Jigs, according to CAD design drawing data, and tool/part print specifications. The recording of inspection results and the preparation and distribution of reports pertaining to such inspection results.

**Key responsibilities will also include**
- Adhere to and help enforce Health and Safety regulations and law.
- Have knowledge of ISO9001, ISO14001 and Q1.
- Understand the Quality Management System Quality Brief.

**Faro Arm: Main responsibility**
- Operating and programming faro arm
- Creating programs by using CAD models
- Creating programs from technical drawings when needed
- Inspecting jigs, fixtures, and simple components
- Creating reports for customers and internal reports
- Adjusting components to meet inspection requirements and tolerances
- Following design specifications for the jobs being inspected
- Reporting any quality concerns to a Quality Lead
- Calibrating faro arm daily when in use
- Reporting any damages on faro and laptop issues
- Maintaining faro
- Reporting calibrating needs and servicing
- Traveling within the UK and worldwide for business needs
- Being able to do extra hours when needed

**CMM: when required**
- Operating and programming CMM machine
- Calibrating machine before use
- Maintaining CMM machines
- Reporting any machines and parts faults and issues
- Completing quality checks and reports
- Reporting calibrations needs and servicing

**Quality: When required (covering quality inspector)**
- Checking components from CNC workshop
- Making sure components are made correctly and within tolerances on the drawings
- Checking components for any sharp edges and damages
- Using multiple measurement equipment (micrometres, gauges, etc)
- Reporting any failures or damages on parts to a Quality Lead
- Filling up any NCR documentation for failed products
- Checking fixtures or jigs on the final stage for any missing parts, damages, and quality issues
- Completing final inspection report sheets
- Reporting any failure to assembly and Quality Lead for correction
- Inspecting sub parts and making sure they are produced in line with the required standards
- Ensure all products shipped are packed correctly/safely.

Other:
If Quality/inspection department tasks are complete, inspectors will be required to help in different departments. This can include Assembly and CNC workshop, depended on business needs.

**About you**:
You’ll have a track record in “hands on” experience in a machine shop/manufacturing environment and demonstrable industry knowledge using Faro Arm engineering and programming principles to provide efficient solutions for the assembly of machine engineered, precision components, coupled with sound operating and programming of CMM machinery.
