**What are we looking for?**

We have a fantastic opportunity, that has arisen within our Border Control Operation Department, as a Logistics Operative. Ideally you will be someone who has strong operational experience, and this could have been obtained from working within, but not limited to, a warehouse, factory, construction or logistics facility. We provide full and comprehensive training for all new starters, so no previous Border Control experience is required.

**What do the Border Control Team do?**

The main purpose of this role is to handle and unload goods from containers, in a safe and timely manner whilst adhering to company policies and procedures. The Border Control Post deals with containers from all over the globe, that may be require specialist checks before they can leave the port.

**What hours will I need to work?**

We are a 24/7 operation this role will be day shifts only, working 12 hours at a time. The good news is, this means that in a 2-week period, you will work 7 shifts and have every other weekend off

**What will the role consist of?**

On a day to day basis you will be unloading container goods which could contain various items, that need to be checked or hazardous goods. Due to the environment you will be working in, all PPE must be worn, and it should always be kept clean. You will be trained on all aspects of the role but be prepared for this role to include varying room temperatures, manual labour, the driving of forklift trucks, tight spaces, use of IT systems, tight deadlines, and a consistent workflow.

- Able to meet the safety critical medical and fitness requirements of the role which include but are not limited to, weight, height, blood pressure, hearing & certain food allergies.
