**Head of Internal Communications**

**THE TEAM**

The Corporate Comms & Events team at ASOS is responsible for all internal communications, external and corporate communications, public affairs and business events at ASOS.

**THE ROLE**

As a senior leader within the ASOS Corporate Comms & Events Team, the Head of Internal Communications is responsible for the development and execution of ASOS’s internal comms and engagement strategy. Working within the wider Corporate Affairs leadership team, this role will be vital in driving a new ‘best in class’ approach to communications across ASOS.

This role sits at the heart of delivering strategic internal communications that engage, inspire and connect our 4,000 ASOSers across the business. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Affairs, and working closely with senior leaders across the business, the post-holder will drive professionalism, agility, consistency and impact.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Accountable for the creation and execution of the ASOS internal communications and engagement strategy, in alignment with the ASOS Corporate Affairs strategy
- Lead the Internal Communications team, being able to shape, support and provide direction to drive outstanding IC across ASOS.
- Champion strategic thinking and support the team to deliver internal comms that connects people with our vision and strategy
- Ensure accountability amongst the team to deliver projects on time and on budget
- Oversee resourcing and effective distribution of work across them team
- Provide feedback, coaching and mentoring to support ongoing development and learning
- Oversee the company-wide IC calendar across all functions
- Develop an Executive and CEO communications plan to build belief in ASOS leadership and incoming CEO - including drafting CEO comms and leading content creation for the bi-monthly Town Halls
- Oversight of the ASOS internal channels strategy, working with the IC Manager to drive a data-driven approach to growing our internal channels and boost engagement (including Yammer and Sharepoint/ASOS Home)
- Drive IC campaigns which closely align to business priorities, including working in partnership with the Head of Transformation Comms to support business change projects
- Ensure robust and responsive crisis communications internally, working closely with the wider corporate affairs and external communications team
- Build a strong internal network across ASOS to provide strategic advice and build integrated, consistent comms plans
- Deputising for the Director of Corporate Affairs when required

Qualifications

**Requirements**:

- Highly experienced IC professional who will thrive in a fast-paced, creative environment
- A specialisation in modern, strategic internal comms at a senior level, ideally in a 21st century business and a PLC
- Team player with excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills and the confidence to interact with, and constructively challenge, senior management
- Experience of leading a team, being able to inspire and engage others in developing creative internal communications
- Passion for, and knowledge of, ASOS, fashion, tech and online retail
- Able to create interesting and engaging content and campaigns and tailor it for different audiences and using different channels
- Able to juggle multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time
- Creative eye - able to manage creative projects; ability to use Adobe Creative Suite and create videos preferrable
- Understanding of how data and insight should be used to shape internal comms planning and evaluation
- Excellent writer who can adapt to the ASOS tone of voice
- A knowledge of Yammer, Sharepoint and other content management systems
