**Production Operative**
Tods are looking to recruit a Trainee Production Operative for our Fitting Department, to commence work on as soon as possible, who have a keen eye for detail and quality.
**Responsibilities**:
- Work within the assigned team to complete Pattern making, Hand lay lamination, Pre-preg and semi-preg lamination, Vacuum resin infusion lamination, Fitting or Polyurethane work.
- Maintain tooling and report any defects.
- Follow, process, and complete all Manufacturing Instruction Sheet or equivalent documentation as required. Keep accurate and up to date records of work undertaken and keep the relevant documentation with the part to maintain product integrity and traceability of the part.
- Maintain the work environment to the agreed standard in line with Health and Safety regulations.
- Be prepared to learn new skills and procedures as new projects are introduced to Production.
**Personal Requirements**:
- Can obtain UK Defence industry Baseline and Full Security Clearance.
- Composite experience advantageous but not essential.
- Has previous practical experience with hand and power tools.
- Good practical and organizational skills with a high level of manual dexterity.
- Good concentration levels and attention to detail.
- Ability to carry out repetitive tasks methodically.
- The ability to follow written and verbal instructions and accurately keep records.
- A safety-conscious approach to work.
- Must be reliable, with the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Continuous Improvement, zero defect and customer focused mindset.
- Able to stay away from home and work at customer locations on a flexible basis, if required.
- Able to work at heights and on scaffold platforms.

Tods is a growing business, based on Portland and it is great time to join our workforce. The role is full time, offering 38 hours per week with the opportunity to work overtime once trained. In return we offer 25 days holiday + bank holidays and a company pension scheme.
We offer a 4-day week, Monday to Thursday from 7am - 5pm.
Portland is based on Dorset’s beautiful Jurassic coast and is home to a huge variety of water-sports facilities and excellent sailing for all abilities.
